Nu-Alpha Chapter

The Nu-Alpha Chapter of Kappa Sigma at Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, was founded in 1991 and has grown into a thriving brotherhood dedicated to the timeless values of leadership, scholarship, service, and fellowship. Since its founding, Nu-Alpha has provided young men with a strong and supportive environment for personal and professional development, shaping well-rounded individuals who excel in every area of their lives—academically, socially, and beyond.

At Nu-Alpha, we take great pride in upholding the core pillars of Kappa Sigma. Our chapter fosters a culture of support, accountability, and ambition where brothers challenge one another to be their best selves. Through opportunities for academic growth, leadership development, and personal connection, our members are prepared to succeed far beyond their college years.

We are actively involved in Cal Poly’s campus life, regularly engaging in philanthropic efforts and community service that make a positive impact on both the university and the greater San Luis Obispo area. Our brothers participate in and organize events like Kappa Sigma Dodgeball and Kappa Sigma Flag Football to raise funds for local charities and our national philanthropy, the Military Heroes Campaign.
